Some pork from a local Nicaraguan joint just around the corner from m e. Thanks to my mother’s advice I’ve switched from tostones to maduros and am much happier with that choice. Delicious, as always.

Maduros are disgusting. You couldn’t pay me to eat those.
I really am a terrible Colombian, aren’t I?
The rest of the meal looks good.

To each his own. I may not agree with your opinion but I will defend to death your right to express it.

Sticking with something fast and easy - pizza.

Agreed.
As for the plantains, they taste gross. I’m usually not picky with food, but the only foods I’ve come to hate are sweet plantains and cucumbers.

That looks delicious. Just some leftovers for me - whatever we can scrounge from the fridge ( ie white rice plus?)

I’m like that with mushrooms. The texture and taste are just too much for me.
I pissed off my ex a few years ago when I agreed to bring over a fruit salad for dinner. It consisted of many of my favorite fruits - cucumber, tomato , olives, bell pepper and chickpeas in a balsamic vinaigrette dressing. She was not amused.

I had toast. Some w ith jam, another with home made peanut butter and another with Vegemite. And two mugs of flat white coffee. After all, it was actually breakfast.

Homemade pizza using public fresh pizza dough.
Somesort of white sauce topped with freshly grilled chicken tenderloins, mushrooms, onions, provolone, and mozzarella.
It came out much better than the garbage pizza hut, dominoes, and papa johns peddles

Nothing better than homemade pizza, especially if it has a white or pesto sauce. As an experiment a few years ago we lined the oven with fire bricks and cranked up the temp for an extended period of time to get everything nice and toasty. Those were some of the best pizzas ever.

We used a round pizza stone and it worked pretty well.

We had burgers (my wife mixes chopped up raw bacon in with the ground beef before she grills them), corn on the cob, and steak fries. Damn good evening.
